Radioactive decay calculation formulae?

What are the formula for calculating the amount/activity of daughters in a decay chain? given the original activity of an isotope and a time. I can calculate the amount of the first isotope, the figures for the first daughter don't make sense and I have yet to try the formula for the third daughter.
