Blackberry compatibility on t-mobile?

I have a myfaves plan with t-mobile and I just bought a Blackberry 7290 from ebay (which is t-mobile compatible). The website sucks at answering this question: will I be able to use this on my current plan, or will I have to make changes to support a smartphone/PDA?
