Help North Face Silken Fleece Shedding!!!?

I have a super soft, high pile "silken" polyester fleece by The North Face and i CANNOT wear it!!! It sheds worse than anything i've ever seen!!! I LOOOVE it, it was a gift and i cannot return it! Any suggestions??? I have already washed and dried it and it STILL leaves black furry lint EVERYEHERE!!!!
