I have had scars all over my face from spots/mild acne for years. Is there anyway I can reduce the redness?

I know about chemical peels but I don't want to get thatdone for a while yet, I'd be happy to lighten the scars. Palmers cocoa er formula for stretch marks and scars? Bio-oil? Will they work?
