Isn't putting a large, gilt-edge, leather bound Bible on a really ornate pulpit or lectern...well, idolatry?

I've read several questions about Catholics and statues and is that idolatry, but I've been to quite a few Protestant and evangelical churches that displayed the Bible in such ostentatious ways that it could only be called veneration.
