Orange algae i think in tank and filter?

i noticed this orange, or light brown algae in my 2.5 gallon fry tank.. the tank has housed many fry over the last 6 months all have survived and been healthy, i change 25% of the tank every 2 to 3 days and have a micro filter inside... there is a average of 10 to 15 very small month old fry in the tank at all times.. once there bigger the go in the main tank..... point being i have never ever had a prob with this orange stuff... but all of a sudden in the last 2 days iv seen it grow and consume the filter with little patches everywhere... i use all the propper testers and drops and the light is on from 10 in the morn to 10 at night.... but it i has been rather hot in my room about 78* to 80* could this be the reason for the growth of my mystery orange stuff...lol and if so how do i get rid of it and do i need to change the filter and clean out the tank... any help is welcome
