You must move so that it is not in the same spot as you once it has traveled 45 meters from its starting point. It takes the snake 30 seconds to travel this 45-meter distance. Therefore, you must travel 40 meters in less than 30 seconds. You must therefore move at least 4/3 m/s to be even with the snake at 40 meters, and any speed faster than that to be out of its range at that distance.
