What does a strawberry plant?

when a strawberry plant first starts to show and you get the little stem with like...2-3 leaves what do they look like? because i planted some roots from the shop about a month ago and i have 2 different looking plants coming through. i used soil from our garden and tried to get rid of as many roots as possible but i obviously missed one. the first one that started coming through about 2 weeks ago looks like a small oval, smooth edged green leaf with a small dimpled line running down the middle. The stem has 2 leaves and 2 more coming through, there are three of these growing in different areas of the pot. Today i noticed a new one coming through, it looks thinner and a bit wilted, its a darker browny green and has a few visible veins in the tiny leaves. there are two of these growing fairly close to each other. i was wondering what a very young strawberry plant looked like when it just starts to come out because i want to know which one to pull out. i might leave them a few more weeks just be sure but im afraid the other plant might kill it. x
